Been there, 6 weeks of 2 hours up followed by 2 hours down!

Where do you get your chops?

I'm finally starting to feel a little normal. Been a few weeks. Hard part is, you have to keep going. No paid sick leave, no letting up of deadlines... Love being an artist! :)

Hope you both heal fast and have a terrific show! Love to see your acrylic work. I took some to Paint Grand Traverse and love the ease of them though I haven't worked out my color palette yet. Used Golden Open. Found a great divided yet sealable shallow plastic box at one of the art stores which was perfect for plein air. Next time I'll pre-mix some colors to make it easier. After two weeks they are still moist.

You will be able to keep those Open acrylics moist forever, if you want to. They're amazing. The funny thing is that their slow drying is why I started using them, and also the reason I quit using them. When I realized that the fast drying is what I liked about acrylics, I decided to jump both feet into heavy body acrylics for that reason, fast drying. I have to say that I am very pleased, although it's been a battle to understand how to work with them.

One cannot be everything to everyone every time. You can quote me on this.

Enjoy your weekend.
