Thanks Marc for this. Beautiful illustration and I love the 'In the Shadows'.

And for the book recommendation. I am fascinated by birds too. Last year I read this amazing book. 'A World on the Wing' that explores bird migration and the effects of urbanization and climate on their shrinking habitats. Also, will the video be available later? I can't seem to get it to play...

I'll look that book up! The video will come out to paid subscribers at 11am ET this morning. The videos are divided into about 6-10 minute length segments. This is a new video so the post that will arrive to paid subscribers this morning is the first installment of how ever many more there are until it's finished. I haven't edited the entire thing down to a time frame, yet, so I am not sure. Thanks for following along.

How do you frame oils painted on paper, Marc? Any tips?

Hi Jo-Anne! I usually mount them down to an acid free board, type depending on size of the piece. Smaller pieces are fine on acid free foam core, larger pieces either on ACM (aluminum core) panel or a piece of hardboard that has been first sealed with a gloss acrylic medium to prevent S.I.D. (surface induced discoloration) from the acids in the wood. Thanks for following along!

I should add that the best adhesive to use is also acrylic gloss medium! It dries fast helping to keep paper from buckling.
